The best type of wellbeing before work!

10 July 2024

How to guarantee a great start to the day 🌟

Karishma Kaimal is a financial advisor and Katie Mantwa George is a meditation teacher and founder of Being Human Well. Together they have been running some brilliant early morning sessions combining financial advice with seated meditation (not simultaneously haha). Having full control on your finances is highly linked to your wellbeing, so combining it with Katie’s meditation session was a perfect injection of knowledge and calmness before work β˜€οΈ

I was already at the wellbeing morning as a participant but Karishma and Katie had asked me to run a headshot session afterwards for anyone needing new profile photos. It was a lovely thing to offer people as it turned out that pretty much everyone said they’d been putting off getting a headshot refresh for ages because of time or lack of opportunity. By booking their slots in advance I got the chance to give them a few tips and nuggets of advice on how to make the most of their 5 minute sessions 😁

I always love doing headshots at events but it’s also a real treat as it means I get to meet everyone individually πŸ˜†

Here are a few of the great people I got to meet.

Book in to the next wellbeing morning on 3 October, you never know I may see you there!

Katie also runs meditation workshops and retreats so click here for more calmness. Or get in touch with Karishma for sound financial advice. They are both absolutely lovely to work with 🩢🩢🩢

Brand strategist and writer with a huge heart

The perfect example of you are your brand 🌟

Brand Language with a Beating Heart. I love Becca Magnus’s strapline for her creative studio business, Magnus & Co – it absolutely captures her personality and vision that branding should speak to the heart, then the head. Becca is the bubbliest of people and she and her brand are part and parcel. As it should be.

I met Becca at the lovely Allbright Mayfair and she booked onto one of my mini branding photoshoot sessions last month. It was so nice to see her and catch up properly, whilst packing in lots of shots. She wore the most gorgeous pink suit and just looked fabulous and then swapped it for a more casual look cardi, so that her pool of images captured vibes of meeting clients plus creative writing in her studio. She’s now got some stunning images which give insight into different areas of her work and show off her personality, for every marketing need. We did some inside and then snuck outside in between the rain and had a real laugh. One of her favourite shots is doing the hair flick πŸ˜†

Becca has worked for all sorts of interesting clients across many sectors – Imperial War Museum, Toast, the NHS, Book Trust, Microsoft, Twinings and my favourite of all, Pip & Nut. You can’t get better than almond butter in my book…πŸ˜‹ If you’d like some inspiration, have a look at her work or follow her on insta @beccamagnus

The financial wingwoman for female founders

30 May 2024

Are you looking for some calmness about your business, knowing that you’re on top of your numbers and no longer need to waste precious fun time? 😎

Preesha Chhaya of Beaver Bee will help you understand which aspect of your numbers are critical to know and what they mean. She will gently train you to take control of your finances and feel confident about your business decisions, freeing up time and energy for yourself whilst knowing that you’re on course for success 🌟

Preesha had a branding photoshoot with me in Spaces, Victoria earlier this month. It was the perfect location for her as it’s full of soft neutral colours and backdrops to compliment her brand style and colours. She’s a super warm, approachable person so it was important to be in an environment to match this with nothing too formal. We used a number of different props including her favourite item – her very on-brand-coloured calculator obviously! If you look closely you can also spot a very cute bee on her mug ☺️

We had such a great chat whilst swopping set ups with outfits and props, it was brilliant working with Preesha. And now she had a fab new pool of images, ready for all her marketing needs πŸ“·

If you’re a female entrepreneur do have a look at Preesha’s website to learn more about how she can help you and your business florish πŸ˜†
