Branding Photoshoot with an interior designer

10 January 2024

A photoshoot full of colour, laughter and creativity.

I love doing branding photoshoots and having the chance to talk to people about their business, the finer details of what they offer and how they approach their work. It’s a real privilege to get such a personal insight and understand the huge value that they give their customers. And this is what I aim to capture in their images, to enable them to share the insight and help customers and potential customers visualise how it would be to work with them.

Working with Jacqueline Douglas was a complete treat. An experienced interior designer and talented artist, she has a really deep understanding of how to create positive and uplifting environments with sustainable materials, often against tight budgets. We did her branding photoshoot in Brentford School for Girls, where she has been working for the past year or so, giving it a huge refurbishment. We tried to cover as many spaces as possible, incorporating headshots and action shots to show some of the different stages that are involved in her refurbishment work. Every room was a joy – the common room, staff room, maths block, arts block, reception area, canteen, corridors, break out spaces, garden quiet area – a never ending surprise of carefully curated colours and furnishing, many of which were preloved. The attention to detail was stunning as is the obvious boost to mental health that will be enjoyed by all the students and staff. It was a huge pleasure to capture it all in images.

Point of learning too, that there is evidence to show that artificial plants can provide great benefit for your well being, they don’t all have to be real 🪴
