London branding photoshoot for a fashion blogger

March 2024

Here’s hoping I pick up some fashion coolness!

I’ve followed Kate Hiscox of @wearsmymoney for years and love the way that she portrays her brand. She always retains the ability to be really cool whilst also having a brilliant sense of humour. Her posts and blogs on Claudia Winkleman’s outfits on The Traitors and how you can recreate them were genius – I love Claudia and her wardrobe πŸ’•

Before any photoshoot, I give my clients plenty of tips and advice on what to wear for headshots and branding images but for those who want more inspiration on how to achieve a look, Kate’s blogs are perfect. She covers a good range of formalities and her blogs are ideal for finding styles that work well for your brand. Obviously if The Traitors look is a good match for your brand, you’re all set to go! And I’m very jealous πŸ˜‚

We used Kate’s kitchen extension area for her photoshoot as it’s where she does her writing and where many of her outfit demonstrations have been filmed. The room has great natural light and beautifully coloured backdrops – which is one reason she does her videos there πŸ˜†. My first suggestion for photoshoot locations is always to consider your own work environment as that’s where you most feel at home and in the zone.

Working with Kate was really good fun, we did a couple of contrasting outfits with lots of different set ups, props and no props. She’s worked with Naheed (@zek_fitness_nutrition), an amazing personal trainer whom I photographed a few years ago so it was lovely to talk all things gym and weights haha! 🌟

Kate’s blog is on WearsMyMoney and you can find a whole host of different ideas and tips for outfits, always providing for small as well as bigger budgets. Do have a look at her insta page too and find her post about strength training with Naheed πŸ’ͺ🏻

Here are a few of Kate’s new branding images πŸ˜πŸ“·

New headshots for a nutritionist & lifestyle practitioner

23 February 2024

The perfect combination of photography and gut health!

I’m really fascinated by the gut and how instrumental it is to our mental as well as physical health. I love a mixture of book genres but one of my favourite bedtime reading has always been Gut by Giulia Enders (the illustrations are particularly descriptive and hilarious). So I was really excited to do some headshots for Jessica O’Dwyer who is a nutrition & lifestyle practitioner in London and spends lots of time helping people protect their microbiomes.

Jessica works with lots of corporates and her brand colours are very neutral with plenty of white so the Victoria coworking Spaces was a good fit as it’s very light and airy with neutral furnishings and plenty of plants. I do headshots in a number of the Spaces sites all over London but I particularly like the Victoria one for their floor to ceiling windows and nice outdoor backdrops too.

Jessica offers private nutrition consultations and psychology sessions as well as corporate wellness packages. She is a specialist in chronic fatigue and has had real success in relieving some of the symptoms in her clients over time🌟 Chronic fatigue is so debilitating mentally and physically, with limited treatment options, it must be amazing to find something that can help. Have a look at her website to learn more about how she works 😊

I do lots of headshots and branding photography for businesses in the fitness and wellbeing industry. Getting people to talk about their work, as well as other things, is very easy when they are passionate about what they do. The resulting images are always full of engagement, energy and natural enthusiasm and really show off their personality. Clients love the experience (having expected it to be stressful and awkward πŸ€ͺ) and my job is not only a breeze but I get to learn all about them and their favourite topic. The gut in Jessica’s instance! πŸ˜†
